The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an exam to measure a candidate’s English proficiency across the four skills of listening, reading, writing, and speaking. IELTS is required to be taken by international candidates who wish to work, study or migrate to a country where English is the main language of communication. There are two versions of tests are available for IELTS
The Academic Module.
The IELTS Academic module is designed for students who are planning to study in higher education in English-speaking universities. It is also taken by those wishing to work in specific professions, such as medicine or dentistry.
The General Training Module.
General Training Module is designed for people who wish to migrate to an English-speaking country like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA or if you wish to train or study at below degree level.
In both modules there are four papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The reading and writing sections are different for the 2 modules, whereas the listening and speaking sections are the same.
